What is PRP: (PRP) Platelet Rich Plasma has many growth factors and cytokines that can increase collagen growth and enhance wound healing. When used with injections and microneedling it can decrease the signs of aging, scars, and trauma scarring.
(PRP) Platelet Rich Plasma: Is obtained by drawing a small amount of your blood from your arm into a sterile tube. The tube is centrifuged to separate your plasma from the red blood cells. The plasma portion of the blood is then extracted from the tube (almost transparent in color, no red blood) and induced into the skin during the treatment. Initially treatments were done using whole blood with the red blood cells. No longer do we smear red blood on the surface of the skin! Very little bleeding is involved since the platelets start to heal the skin immediately.
Treatment Procedure: A prescription topical numbing ointment is applied to your skin for 30 minutes before your treatment. The skin is cleansed and sanitized before the treatment starts. The PRP and other topical boosters as Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid, Retin-A and stem cell serums are applied over the skin and infused through tiny channels created with the microneedling device. Very little, if any discomfort is experienced during the procedure.
Healing Side Effects: With the use of PRP side effects are virtually eliminated. A person may experience a mild pink color to the skin. Additional PRP mixed with Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid are sent with the client to reapply at home. Makeup maybe used 12 hours later.
